“I see that the 2020 Ford trucks have a backup camera problem. This is the same problem on my 2017 f250. Works or goes blank or waves. Could it be that this problem is a much older problem and goes back several years?? This happens many times on different days. Thank you for any input.”

NHTSA complaint #11362126, filed 2020-09, 65,000 miles

“Problem: Backup Camera fuzzy/not clear. It is available to be inspected. I cannot see anything through the camera in most lighting conditions. I cannot see people when banking up. It was not like this when I first bought the truck new. It has gotten progressively worse. I've not taken it to the dealer because a replacement costs over $500 installed and they install the same faulty camera.”
