“The truck has only 30k miles on it and last week while driving it on the freeway it suddenly developed a violent shaking at speeds over 60mph. Only by braking and pulling over to the shoulder were we able to stop the shaking. We are trying to work with our local Ford dealership-they think it's a problem with the steering dampner and the track bar.”

NHTSA complaint #11402676, filed 2021-03, 30,000 miles

“My truck has 40000 miles on it I got a check engine light took it into the dealer ship and they tell my 100000 mile warranty does not cover the sensor that is giving a fault and I gotta pay 890.00 out of pocket to fix it. I was told all engine components are under warranty for 100k on the truck”

NHTSA complaint #11088706, filed 2018-04, 40,940 miles

“Experienced a death wobble 2 times. Notified Ford and thry said 'oh yeah you experienced a death wobble. Asked if that is under warranty and they stated only if our truck is under 36,000 miles. Ours has 50,000. The truck is at Ford to be fixed with an estimated cost of $1800.00. We bought out truck may of 2017.....Ford would've known by then that there was this problem, yet sold to us....knowingly that a death wobble is a very dangerous vibration.... This is a massive safety issue why is it alright to knowingly sell us something that is dangerous?? Why are we having to incur this cost? …”

NHTSA complaint #11182040, filed 2019-02, 50,000 miles

“Vehicle has experienced multiple catastrophic upper oil pan failures, lower oil pan failure, coolant leak, fuel line dry rotted, and other issues at less than 138,000 miles. Resulting in potential loss of control of vehicle due to potential tire and brake exposure to engine oil and fluids. Potential of fire and other catastrophic loss.”

NHTSA complaint #11364636, filed 2020-10, 127,000 miles

“Transmission down shifting while driving. Jumps from 6th gear to 1st gear. Barely got it to the pull off which was in a curve. Put my life and my passenger life in danger because we couldn't see around the curve which the pull over was on the other side of the road.”
