“I put my car in reverse and the speed increased while I had my foot on the brake, I changed gears to drive and it did not increase on its own. Once again on reverse and had another sudden increase of speed while my foot was on the brake. If I wasn't careful it could have caused an accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11217368, filed 2019-06, 207,300 miles“While driving on the interstate i71/i75 my rear brakes locked up. My brake pads were cutting into my rotors. After checking the brakes when I got back home I found that the rear brake calipers were frozen on both sides (rear left rear right). The rotors, calipers and brake pads had to be replaced. Now remember the car has only 21,900 miles on it.”
NHTSA complaint #10463535, filed 2012-06, 21,900 miles“The vehicle lunges when in low gears going frontward and backward. Braking stops this, but brake has to be applied harder than usual. I have complained about this before to no avail. Because this does not happen all the time, my mechanic could not diagnose the problem. Usually this happens at very low speeds like at traffic lights, in parking lots, etc.”
