“I went to get out of my car when I got home from work on friday and my inside door handle broke. Luckily I was parked and at home when this occurred. This could have been bad if it was a situation where I had to get out of the car in a hurry and was not able to. I think Ford should offer a recall on this problem cause this could be a deadly situation.”
NHTSA complaint #10473623, filed 2012-09, 86,000 miles“This has happened three times in the last six months. While driving at highway speeds the hood randomly unlatches. Thankfully the safety latch kept the good from completely opening. This could have been very dangerous. It just happened to us today in fact. I hope the service agreement will cover to fix the problem. I see that another person complained of this same problem on this site on 2010.”
NHTSA complaint #10655169, filed 2014-11, 70,000 miles“The paint began to fade off the hood to a white color. You can barely see any red now. The rest of the pint looks mint. I take very good car as it is my baby. This issue began when it was only 2 years old. I have always owned fords. I own 3 now. Ford, you owe me a hood paint job.”
NHTSA complaint #10652901, filed 2014-11, 40,000 miles“The airbag is sticking out of the dashboard and Ford doesn't want to do anything about it. I believe that being this is safety concern and should be covered by Ford. I have contacted them because we have a concern that the airbag will fail or just blow out of the dashboard without any notice.”
NHTSA complaint #10480061, filed 2012-10, 77,598 miles“I parked my vehicle and attempted to exit out of the driver's side door. I discovered there was no tension on the door handle. I was unable to open the door from the inside. In order to exit the vehicle, I must roll down the driver's side window and open from the outside.”
