“So what's happening is that every time I open the back seat to put down the seat belt gets jam and wont release and then I have to get a tool to unscrew the entire buckle where the seat belt latches into just to release the seat from being stuck down, not only that when I put the seat back up the belt jams up again. Also the car was parked”

NHTSA complaint #11203293, filed 2019-04, 60,000 miles

“Iissue 1) put the back seat down to get into trunk and it wont go back up due to the seat belts issue. Because I dont really use the back seat, I havent bothered to get it fixed and pay for it out of my pocket. 2) driving over 55 MPH, car lost power steering. I see others have had same issues with these 2 components of the 2013 Fusion, yet no recall. This makes no sense to me.”

NHTSA complaint #11344188, filed 2020-08, 140,000 miles

“I have had the worst experience with trying to get my recall resolved 1st of all my door open while on the highway. And also while I was on my way to work. So I called only to find out that this was part of a national recall. Now I thought I only had a recall on my seatbelts and airbag. Now had they kept their word on march 28th this could have been resolved. Help....”

NHTSA complaint #11097174, filed 2018-05, 74,400 miles

“Takata recall: we have received three recalls, 2014 (airbag), 2015 (door latch), and 2016 (seatbelt) which were told we are on a waiting list because our light wasn't on and they would call us when parts came in. Just received notification in mail about takata recall. Ford dealer never notified us and I want these fixed immediately.”

NHTSA complaint #11043077, filed 2017-11, 17,000 miles

“Took Fusion in for recall 16s42 concerning seatbelt pretentioners on 08aug17. No airbag warning light was illuminated on the dash, when we went to pickup the car the light was on. The dealership had not seen the light and refused to check out the problem before my wife left the dealership. I believe that durango motor company, durango colorado should have taken responsibility of checking the system.”
