“In the last 3 weeks I start my 2015 Jeep Cherokee as usual, shortly after driving when trying to accelerate from a stop the battery light comes on and the dash says cannot switch gears unless in park. The car then stalls and I have to shift into park and restart ,the scary issue is that I am sometimes stuck and cant move until I can restart the vehicle. There is only 57,000 miles on this vehicle .”

NHTSA complaint #11398442, filed 2021-03, 57,000 miles

“While driving on a freeway in november 2020 I had engaged the cruise control and set it at the speed limit of 70 MPH. A semi truck changed into my lane without blinker warning. I slammed on the brakes but the cruse control would not disengage. I then began pumping the brakes and still no disengagement. As I approached the back end of the semi prior to hitting it, I drove off the freeway down the descending embankment still pumping the brakes without disengaging the cruise control. …”

NHTSA complaint #11388141, filed 2021-01, 60,000 miles

“A few times when I have used cruise control my car suddenly accelerates and takes me slamming on my break for a few seconds to disengage to slow down, almost causing me to crash into someone. I have not taken my car to a shop to have it looked at. There were no warning lights or messages when it happened”

NHTSA complaint #11619764, filed 2024-10

“Water fills up in the spare tire component which corroded the emergency brake box. I took it to the local Sunoco to fix they contacted Chrysler and was told to give the car back to me as is I should have it fixed by the dealership. My car is currently at a dealership and they’re telling me I have to pay $1600 for the repair. But if you Google this is a common problem with this vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11514139, filed 2023-03

“Went for service and they stated my EPB is not engaging properly, they could tell water was in the spare tire well at some point....I bought this car in 2019 & was never told of this possible problem This incident obviously happened before the date of this complaint, but I was not aware until service technician told me on 2/21/2023 Power going to Park Brake Module---No power out Thank you for your time”
