“I've had problems on and off with the power windows, door locks, interior lights and stereo system. The power windows/door locks do not work. Unless I turn the interior dimmer light switch to the off position, the lights stay on. When this is done, I cannot see the displays (I.e., speed, etc.). The stereo system will play and the cd player works; however, I cannot see the display at all --- channels, track #s, etc. All of these issues, except the stereo system, create driving hazards.”

We just bought it march 11 so I contacted the dealer and are supposed to speak to him on monday. On 4-20-14 I was with her and it stalled out on her 3 times during our travels of approximately 30 miles. …”

“I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee . Several months ago, I started to have stalling issues. Hot or cold, dry or wet, first drive of the day or last, it didn't matter. The engine would cut out in the middle of driving regardless of speed. I had to put it in neutral, recrank it and put it back in drive just to avoid accidents, otherwise it drifts out of control. At first I thought this was an isolated incident but now it happens almost everyday. It's dangerous but I have no choice to drive to get to work and from the internet a lot of other Jeep users have the same issue. Why no recall on this issue? …”

NHTSA complaint #10596916, filed 2014-06, 185,829 miles

“While in motion driving on a busy two way city roadway street, the vehicle lost power, lost brakes, no steering and no electrical while in motion, that endangered my life from a head on collision. Currently no power, the windows are open, the windshield wipers are stuck.”

NHTSA complaint #10925713, filed 2016-11, 37,448 miles

“Jeep has two recalls on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but has done nothing for months. I received a notice recall m35/NHTSA warning that airbags might deploy on their own. So far, Jeep has done nothing to fix it. They sent me a frightening notice and then, nothing. Auto manufacturerers need to be required to fix defects in a timely fashion. I know there is another recall that occurred earlier this summer, and I haven't even gotten a notice about it. So two safety issues and so far, no repair. Should I even be driving this vehicle?”
