“While driving at 70 MPH at night, the headlamps and interior light began flashing. Then completely shut off. This happened 4 times in less than 25 mile. I had been driving for 3 hours that night. The next day it happened again as soon as I turned lights on at dusk. In less than 24 hours the lights flashed/turned off 7 times.”

NHTSA complaint #10587405, filed 2014-05, 133,701 miles

“While driving car with lights on the lights flicker and then go out. I turn them off and then back on again. It's very dangerous driving at night when the lights go out. This seems to be a problem on a large number of Jeep's. I feel Jeep needs to determine what the cause and solution is for this dangerous condition.”

NHTSA complaint #10622021, filed 2014-08, 90,102 miles

“My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has now started sporadic headlight service. For the last few years I have noticed the dashboard lights dimming for no apparent reason but now the headlights are also cutting in and out. It seems there is no real solution from what I have been reading online and chrysler needs to address this since it is very unnerving to not have headlights while driving at night.”

NHTSA complaint #10521110, filed 2013-06, 73,000 miles

“All lights, instrument panel, head lights, fog lights began to flash and shut off then came back on as the car was being driven. This has happened multiple times while my wife has been driving as well as when my son has driven the car and also while I was driving..”

NHTSA complaint #10680642, filed 2015-02, 160,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee srt8 about two weeks ago I was leaving a store at night when I started the Jeep the indicator light for my bright lights was on I tried to turn them off nothing happened they were stuck on then I realized I had no turn signals either. When I went inside the store the brights were not on and everything was working fine.
