Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Multiple warning lights all at once. This issue has been reported on multiple Mazda vehicle years. Took to Delker Auto repairs. Is electrical problem. Stated that so far nothing wrong with components. Will have to hunt for. Mazda has known electrical issues. In addition, your file upload will not let me upload picture even though it's in correct format. I can send separately.”

NHTSA complaint #11702925, filed 2025-12

“Blind spot monitoring system warning appears on dashboard of vehicle after driving for about 50-60 miles. This occurs only when I drive >50-60 miles in one trip without shutting off my vehicle. Speed does not matter. My sensors will not work until I turn off my car and turn it back on. This started as soon as I purchased my vehicle in July 2020. 1 previous owner (lease) before I purchased the vehicle. No prior accidents. Got the vehicle at ~30,000 miles. In January 2021, I drifted off the freeway and hit a tree going 35 mph during a snow storm. …”

NHTSA complaint #11462935, filed 2022-05

“2017 Mazda CX-5. Consumer writes seeking reimbursement for repairs made to vehicle. The consumer stated the navigational system keeps rebooting itself. The vehicle was repaired and the consumer wants to be reimbursed for all repairs.”

NHTSA complaint #11503936, filed 2023-01

“The center screen started self selecting on its own, and randomly choosing options that included going into the setting for Adas system and turning stuff off and on.”

NHTSA complaint #11584220, filed 2024-04

“The Adaptive Cruise Control system (collectively including the Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Smart city brake support etc.) on this SUV stops working abruptly and randomly while the car is in operation on the road. This is a major safety concern as it can crash into a leading vehicle in absence of adaptive cruise capabilities. The system generally resets or starts working again after a 5-10 minutes, but there is no rhyme or reason why it stopped working or when it would start again. It has happened in cloudy, harsh cold weather, and also on a bright, warm sunny day. …”
