“Traveling 20 MPH on clean, dry concrete, approaching a yield sign at an intersection. Applied brakes and felt ABS pulse in the brakes. Abs pulses stopped and then the brake pedal continued to travel to the floor. I ended up finally coming to a stop in the middle the intersection. The driver who had the right of way managed to avoid hitting my vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11113447, filed 2018-07, 155,000 miles

“A car in front of me slammed on his brakes I had to slam mine on to avoid a crash. My ABS deployed and I stopped without hitting him, however my brake pedal now engages approximately 1 to 2 inches above the floor board. I still have brakes but I don't think the ABS works. What should I do? I have read on the internet no one can figure it out. 04”

NHTSA complaint #10984189, filed 2017-05, 96,000 miles

“My brakes soften up and my braking distance increases. My vehicle now is failing inspection due to this. The issue increases when I hit a bump on the road and hit the brakes. The pedal will literally reach the floor. I have changed out all pads and rotors and there are no visible leaks of any kind on other brake parts. The ABS lights are not on.”

NHTSA complaint #10984191, filed 2017-05, 130,000 miles

“I have had a spongy break pedal that would go all the way to the ground when depressed and not build up pressure. Multiple inspections did not find anything wrong with the break system. The dash board lit up about a week ago showing that the ABS module failed. Applying the brake feels about the same still but I lost ABS, stability and traction control.”

NHTSA complaint #11020726, filed 2017-08, 157,800 miles

“My 2009 Nissan Murano has 78,000 miles on it. Sometimes if I brake on a bumpy road the pedal goes all the way to the floor and brake power is significantly reduced. Nobody can tell me why this is happening. I've had the fluid system flushed and the brakes checked. Not even Nissan's dealership understands. Please do something.”
