“All the 4 struts are leaking. I took the car for tire rotation at goodyear service station. They told me that all 4 struts are leaking and need replacement. I then took the car of ntb they said same thing. It's unusual for carmy with 50000 miles to have all 4 struts leaking. I see lots of people have this problem with the Camry. The ride is bumpy. This should be a recall.”
NHTSA complaint #10713700, filed 2015-04, 53,000 miles“My mechanic showed me all 4 struts(f&r) are leaking too much and that they have to be replaced. I called manhattan beach Toyota and they said it is not covered under any recall or warranty & it will cost over $1400.00 to replace. It took the mechanic over hours to complete replacing all 4 struts. I am really shocked by this finding, it shouldn't have happened, and Toyota should take care of this problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10562303, filed 2014-01, 65,000 miles“I drive a 2007 Camry se which has a known issue for strut leakage from what info I am getting from other owners of the same vehicle yet Toyota claims that it is normal for a strut to leak. I haven't had that explanation from any other car manufacturer I've called to see if that is normal for their vehicles. This is ludicrous. These have to be some of the worst build Toyota vehicles in the company's history.”
NHTSA complaint #10503745, filed 2013-03, 96,427 miles“When I do 70k miles maintenance in Toyota dealer, they told me my car has water pump leak, oil pan gasket leak and front struts leak. And I heard many Camry owner suffered from water pump leak. I think it is potential safety issue. So I report this. No accident happen.”
NHTSA complaint #10485451, filed 2012-11, 69,712 miles“I have a 2007 toyoto Camry ce. In december 0f 2010 I had new tires installed after 42,000 miles and the firestone dealer stated that all four struts were leaking and that replcement would cost approximately $1575.19. I suggest that this is a safety defect that should be looked into.”
