“While I was driving on friday, my 2020 F-150 stalled. An error message popped up on the instrument cluster saying auto startstop shift to p then restart . I restarted and it happened again. I then waited 10 minutes and restarted and it has not happened since. I took it to bob thomas service in hamden, ct today and they are saying they cannot find anything wrong. If I was on the highway or turning across traffic, stalling at that time could be disastrous or even fatal.”
NHTSA complaint #11383321, filed 2020-12, 3,200 miles“Bought truck new first problem. Back up camara ...crash avoidance system not working paint missing ..took it back to Ford after a display of power train malfunction they reprogrammed the truck and said they would have to get with Ford on the paint and have heard nothing to this day ...left dealer got home back up camara quit again ....now floor board passenger side getting wet ...idles funny and engine sound like it developed a maratic tick knock sound so fixing to go back to dealer ....very aggrivating to pay the prices you pay for a truck and always have these problem repeated ...and yet…”
NHTSA complaint #11374223, filed 2020-11, 1,300 miles“While driving the truck automatically down shifted. If I drove move 20 MP it would shift. The truck would not go into reverse, the gear was stuck. I had to turn if off and then turn it back on then It let me shift the gears. On the dashboard the wrench and other indicators lit up on the dashboard.”
NHTSA complaint #11717195, filed 2026-02“This happens consistently, while driving with the cruise control, the truck takes off and speeds up almost causing the truck to ram other vehicles. Then the truck shudders and surges before throwing up several codes. I have read this is a problem with many Ford trucks. I feel like our lives are in serious danger . I was hoping there would be a recall because this is leaving customers in situations that may cause injury or death.”
NHTSA complaint #11612073, filed 2024-09“Forward collision warning (pre collision assist not available) message comes on while driving with no vehicles in front, driving under normal conditions. Cross traffic system rear - Not detecting vehicles, intermittent. Reported to dealer, no faults or issues were found. Since being at the dealer, the 2 issues continue intermittently. We have the Ford Pass app which records any/all alerts, I cannot download them at this time.”
