“At 80,000 miles my transmission needs to be replaced . I have never abused this vehicle in any form and feel that Toyota should reimburse the many thousands of owners who seem to be having the same problems with this model. For the amount of money these vehicles cost it only seems fair that Toyota should be forced to stand behind their products.”

NHTSA complaint #10261894, filed 2009-03, 80,000 miles

“3 pairs of cracked exhaust manifolds in less than 100k miles. Had I been more vigilant about repairing them as soon as they occurred, it likely would have been another couple of pairs. Dealer replaced them up to 100k, and although I pressed them for a solution, they would not honor problem after 100k miles.”

NHTSA complaint #10231185, filed 2008-06, 40,000 miles

“I have had one oxygen sensor replaced within the past year at an expense of over $400. I now have another oxygen sensor failure and note that many others are experiencing the same manufacturer defect. My truck has only 52,000 miles but it is beyond the extended warranty period granted by Toyota. It is obvious that Toyota should recall all 2000 tundras and fix them rather than extend a warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #10210363, filed 2007-11, 52,330 miles

“My oxygen sensors went bad at 37000 miles and I believe this is premature, I know personally of 3 other people that have had problems earlier than that.I believe that it is a pollution issue, because if a recall is not issued, or if Toyota doesn't warranty the item, then most likely people will not replace them every 30000 miles or whenever they go bad.”

NHTSA complaint #10028507, filed 2003-07, 36,500 miles

“2000 Toyota Tundra exhaust manifolds leaking. July 3. 2003 a Toyota dealer told me my exhaust manifolds were warped and leaking. Mileage at that time was 30763. After approx. 3 months of trying to get Toyota to cover the complete cost to replace, they finally agreed to furnish the parts free of charge and I pay the labor of $662.18. I feel that Toyota should cover all costs.”

NHTSA complaint #10041275, filed 2003-10, 30,763 miles
