“Cp4 pump failed and truck died pulling out onto the highway and won't restart! Luckily I didn't get hit by other vehicles and couple people helped push it out of the road!!! (I DO HAVE FORD DEALER REPORT STATING CP4 PUMP FAILURE!!!!!)”

NHTSA complaint #11740514, filed 2026-05

“My vehicle has been at Ford of Harvey since 8/31/26. Dealer replaced ignition coil 8/18/26. Light and rough idle returned and the dealer determined a new engine would be needed. Dealer says Ford warranty only wants to replace cam shaft. Metal in oil was found and dealer has fought corporate warranty for over a month, ripping apart my engine. The fear is engine could seize at highway speeds as a result of internal damage.caused by circulating debris. Truck still sits at dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #11773738, filed 2026-10

“Driving down a busy highway and my truck starts lurching and losing power and then just dies in the road. I had to wait a few minutes and the truck would start up. There were no warnings or lights initially. This happened three times. After the third time it would no longer start, and a solid check engine light appeared after the third time. The check engine light did not present itself the first two times. According to the dealer service department the fuel pump quit working. …”

NHTSA complaint #11547674, filed 2023-10

“I was driving at a highway speed of 65 mph when suddenly the check engine light came on and the speed quickly dropped to 25 mph. The alert that appeared on the truck computer was low fuel pump pressure. This put myself and my family at risk of a severe accident. The dealership found corrosion in the fuel line and a problem with fuel pump. They felt it was possibly from contaminated fuel. They were working on 3 other vehicles with the same problem. This had not happened before and this is a vehicle driven daily. The term the came up with was a Catastrophic fuel system Failure”

NHTSA complaint #11641009, filed 2025-02

“Fuel pumps failure causing the truck to loose power while in traffic. I have spent 8 thousand dollars in repairs and I am still all of a sudden low Fuel pressure pops up on the screen and it looses power. Has left me stranded 200 miles from my house. Ford has told me that they can't get it to happen for their tech and told me to drive it. Same thing happened again 200 miles away from my house. I feel like Ford knows what it does and doesn't want to correct the problem. These trucks are very expensive to buy and to operate with all the service that has to be done to keep it on the road. …”
