“Oil usage is extremely high with no visible leaks, and engine is dry. I am at the point of my oil needing to be changed, and my oil was nearly empty. I have put in 3 qt's in the last 3 weeks. Also, I live in nys, and on cooler days to freezing days, there is a loud grinding rattle that happens when I start my car. I had a 2010 that did the same thing.”

NHTSA complaint #11258956, filed 2019-09, 70,000 miles

“On cold start-ups there is a loud rattle coming from the engine. My CR-V only has 54,000 miles on it and this is ridiculous. I am told it could be the vtc actuator and can only hope that my extended warranty will cover it. Not the quality I expect from Honda at all. Researching this can lead to oil consumption and a stretched timing chain and premature engine failure.”

NHTSA complaint #11317054, filed 2020-03, 54,000 miles

“I live in mn, and only cold air blowers out of the heater vent on the drivers side. This is a known issue by Honda (TSB 14-063), it is a clogged heater core. I have had it fixed 2 times ($120/per time) and it keeps happening. This is a serious issue when it is 20 below and there is no heat in my crv.”

NHTSA complaint #11320180, filed 2020-04, 36,000 miles

“The car vibrated during acceleration at 25 and 32mph. The Honda of san marcos,tx dealer updated the software and that fixed the problem. Since many 2014 Honda crvs have this problem, this should be a recall. Honda should reimburse me the $365.15 that they charged me to fix the transmission vibration.”

NHTSA complaint #11234463, filed 2019-07, 93,489 miles

“I purchased my used certified 2014 Honda CR-V ex-l 11/2016 and the car seemed to running smooth and very quite. I took it in for the first service call the car didn't run the same, I even when back a few days after the car was serviced. Since the if I make a sudden stop the car stops and I finally hear the transmission catching up and this cause the car to jerk back in the sitting position. …”
