“When driving my vehicle on the highway, it shut down and the service engine light came on, it had lost all power and it had 4525 miles on it. I was on my way to take it up for a recall for a software update with A/C control unit replacement ; DTC p0300, p0301,p0302,p0303,p0304,or p0172. I had to call Honda road side assistance and my vehicle was hauled on a flat bed trailer to get the recall fixed. …”

“I keep smelling gasoline and having to get oil changes well before 5,000 miles. I believe that gas is getting into the oil. I have complained to the dealership service department and have been told that there is no fix available. I fear that the engine is going to give out soon.”

NHTSA complaint #11361710, filed 2020-09, 40,000 miles

“The automatic gear selector has no indicator on it. Additionally, depending on angle driver is sitting, it appears to be in a different gear or position than actual selection. I have had three near misses due to this design. From being in neutral and rolling down hill backwards when I thought I had it in drive, to being in neutral instead of park. After 30 years of driving, this is the first car I've driven that had no infictator to show what gear I was in.”

NHTSA complaint #11102829, filed 2018-06, 4,430 miles

“2018 Honda crv ex: mileage 20,165. Upon accelerating while pulling the car on main roadway, the car dropped from 50mph to 25mph and then wouldn't reach past 35mph, the engine light appeared and started to blink. Pushing the gas pedal only aggravated the situation. About a mile later the car stopped/stalled trying to go up a hill. I turned off car, waited 10 min and restarted. Was able to go another 1 mile to home, I did not attempt to go over 25 MPH, because engine light was still blinking. …”

NHTSA complaint #11252166, filed 2019-08, 20,165 miles

“This vehicle after having 4500 miles, began to smell terribly of gasoline inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle sputtered , did not want to run, and stalled a few times before I wound up at the dealership. I also noticed that when the little wrench came on, for a notification of the first oil change, that the vehicle made a loud growling noise. The vehicle is sitting in the dealership right now waiting a hopeful repair. Here I am with no vehicle, and a $400 per month payment. This is absolutely unacceptable in today's world. …”
