“While driving my truck on old ga2 a two lane county maintained gravel road. The electric power steering quit without warning when I was entering a switchback curve.the sudden loss of power steering almost forced me off the the road. It was physically all I could do to keep the truck on the road. Anyone with less upper body strength would have gone off the mountain.”
NHTSA complaint #11414394, filed 2021-04, 111,500 miles“Power steering went completely out on my 2014 dodge Ram 1500. It locked up on me and almost caused a crash. Fortunately I was able to avoid that. I don't understand why dodge has no recall on this as the more I read about it, it was common issue on 2013,2014 and 2015 s model year. To me this is a definite safety issue. When it locks up you cannot steer the vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11399156, filed 2021-03, 132,000 miles“Very hard to steer when moving, any driving city or highwaymore going around turns or turning corners, it goes extremely hard, then easier the hard again, I was told there are recalls for it starting 1/2015, this is extremely dangerous , I have no pictures since you can't see a problem. The problem is getting worse, does this at any speed”
NHTSA complaint #11206296, filed 2019-05, 97,000 miles“Driving to indiana to see my grandbabies and the check electronic trailer brakes came on the check electronic braking system light came on. Cruise control stopped working and lost power, the same thing happened on the way back to kentucky. I had the brakes done, but mechanic said it's a sensor I the steering column. This is really dangerous and needs to be recalled.”
NHTSA complaint #11271126, filed 2019-10, 100,000 miles“I have notifications of these various recalls and have tried to get these corrected or at least checked out at the dealership where I purchased my truck. First I was told that appointments were now required. Then I was advised that 1st come/1st served was now required and full schedules are usual. Now I received another notification. I care for my Ram, but my time is also important.”
