“The driver's side rear tire sidewall peeled apart on chevy 2008 silverado with ameritrac tires 245/70r17 with only 10,000 miles on vehicle. When I took the tire to the dealer, since it should have been under warranty they claimed it was due to a puncture in the tire. They also said it was from a piece of screw driver that was planet in the vehicle. The piece of screw driver wasn't there until the car was taken to the dealer, so not only didn't they fix the car they damaged it.”

While driving 55 MPH, the rear driver side tire fell off and caused the vehicle to swerve and flip three times. The driver injured his upper body and the passenger's head was injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The current and failure mileages were 3,250.”

When the contact went to change his license plate, he noticed that the spare tire was a different size than the rest of the tires. He consulted the dealer and was informed that they received other complaints about the issue, but could not do anything to resolve the issue. The manufacturer stated that the spare was a temporary one and offered no further assistance. The spare was a goodyear wrangler hp tire, size 265/70/17. The other tires were bridgestone, size 265/65/18. The current mileage was 2,465 and failure mileage was approximately 2,400. …”
