“My van will cut off while driving down road no warning just shuts off and you loose your breaks and steering it happens every time I drive it has to be an issue I have seen that it is on recall for other models I have had to park my van because it is a danger to drive something has to be done and power seats blows fuse every time I put new fuse in hit the driver side power seats blows instantly”

NHTSA complaint #11320472, filed 2020-04, 140,000 miles

“The back seats have no safety design whatsoever. I was in the back trying to install a carseat in the one seat and pushed the button to fold the bench into normal use position and it started up normal, and a tiny bit of the carseat was bumping into it when it got stuck, I attempted to push it back to the left side down position again to remove the seat and it refused to stop... It kept going after pushing it 10+ times and eventually started grinding and then continued to twist the left side metal bracket that helps the seat move. …”

NHTSA complaint #11094065, filed 2018-05, 175,000 miles

“Problems with the wiring and fuses that move the front drivers and passenger seat. The wires are hot and the fuse blows constantly. Resulting in the seats being stationary and not working. I've had several mechanics look at this and have replaced the fuses about 30 times. The only thing I have not done yet is have the seats completely rewired to get the power seats working. This has been an issue since my husband purchased this van about 5 yrs ago. I cannot drive our van because the seats are stuck. I've talked to other Town And Country owners that are having similar issues.”

NHTSA complaint #11363515, filed 2020-10, 85,000 miles

“I was putting the stow and go seat (behind driver's seat) into the storage compartment. I was holding up the floor board flap in my left hand and used my right hand to lift the folded seat into the floor compartment. As I folded the seat into the compartment, my ring finger on right hand got wedged or caught in the seat mechanism. I could not get the finger out. I returned the seat to the upright position thinking that the finger would become loose and I could remove it. It still would not come out. I was in our garage and my wife was away. There was no way I could get my finger out by myself. …”

NHTSA complaint #10396448, filed 2011-04, 21,010 miles

“The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town And Country. While driving 40 MPH, the vehicle stalled, the steering wheel seized, and the instrument panel illuminated. Prior to the failure, the front driver side seat independently shifted back and forth without warning. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was previously serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system), but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer two more times where the ignition valve and battery were replaced, but the failure recurred. …”
