“The collision avoidance and cruise control system has become intermittent, undependable and dangerous while driving. There is no way to tell when it is woking or not and to depend on it is asking for disaster. The dealer doesn't seem to have a clue as to what to do about it.”

NHTSA complaint #11390860, filed 2021-01, 44,000 miles

“The brake booster had a recall but it should have never just have been the booster. The brake system on this is dangerous. I had the booster replaced and the valve got stuck in the HCU and cause brakes to fail. This has been a common issue amongst people and yet this is not a recall. The dealership just quoted me $3200. That's absurd for an issue thats obviously a common huge problem for people”

NHTSA complaint #11710105, filed 2026-01

“My brake booster failed while driving and lost control. Recall had been issued for for 2013 edge for this problem based on VIN. Mine was not included yet it failed in my low mileage garaged car. Nearly impossible to contact Ford for resolution. If the failure happened on my car it should be covered under Terms of Recall.”

NHTSA complaint #11553550, filed 2023-11

“9/15/2022 paid $875.90 for brake booster, two weeks later, ABS module going out, according to Moyer Ford, as of 12/01/2022, I’ve called Ford Complaint and they fail to add my vin number, says only nhtsa can do that. As of today, 12/01/2022, Moyer ford is telling me abs modules are on back order with no ETA. Ford knows this is major brake issue but not addressing it! Now when abs part does come in, that’s another $800 out of my pocket, total of $1700 that Ford is ignoring and don’t even have the parts to fix! Major concern!”

NHTSA complaint #11495637, filed 2022-12

“The brakes on my otherwise perfect 2013 Ford Edge recently went to the floorboard while I was driving. The first time, I could have killed a pedestrian--which should shock everybody including Ford. The second time, I could've killed several people in the car in front of me and started a deadly chain reaction. Ford dealers have told me that there is a recall on the 2011 & 2012 Ford Edges for a replacement of the ABS module--BUT NOT FOR MY YEAR! People are going to die if the greedy Ford is not FORCED TO RECALL THIS YEAR TOO. …”
