“We were driving my car last night and all of a sudden there was a big pop sound and my husband got hit in the back of the head with the headrest. I guess what had happened was the headrest deployed out of the blue for no reason.”
NHTSA complaint #11297873, filed 2020-01, 94,400 miles“After reclining the seat, the passenger's side headrest deployed. At the time the vehicle was stationary in a parking lot. Not sure why that happened. Don't know what to do about this, take it to the dealer or what. Is there a recall on the headrests?”
NHTSA complaint #11350500, filed 2020-08, 43,400 miles“The drivers side headrest popped open while I was sitting in the parking lot and adjusting my seat before I drove off. The metal pin is missing and the plastic part that was holding it is broken. No accident, just opened on its own. That would have been bad if it hit me while I was driving down the street.”
NHTSA complaint #11444685, filed 2021-12“My horn randomly blows while parked. Vehicle is in park and the doors are shut and locked. No one around the vehicle. It has happened 4 times today. Once I get out to the vehicle to investigate the problem the horn stops blowing on its own. When it happens numerous times or continuously it runs the battery down.”
NHTSA complaint #11337539, filed 2020-07“Headrest popped open on passenger side and car hasn't been in accident since I have had it. Also my backup camera isn't working, it started going blank, and upside down til it doesn't do anything anymore.”
