Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“While parked in my driveway, the rear window exploded/shattered. I had local Ford rep come look at it, take pictures and submit to Ford for warranty coverage. The vehicle was purchased in January 2025 and has 28,888 miles - so still under warranty. Ford has denied warranty coverage. I believe this to be a safety issue and am reporting it.”

NHTSA complaint #11740665, filed 2026-05

“On the morning of Wednesday May 28, 2025 I walked out to 2025 Ford F-150 (5200 miles) when it suddenly sounded as if someone shoot a gun towards me. After standing back up I saw the rear glass had shattered looking as if it exploded from inside out due to the glass being in truck bed and not inside back seat. The four corners of glass were all broken off with giant hole in middle. The truck engine was not on and I had front passenger door open. …”

NHTSA complaint #11663358, filed 2025-05

“On October 14, 2026, while traveling approximately 75 mph on an interstate highway, the front panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 Ford F-150 Tremor suddenly and violently shattered without any apparent impact. The sunroof was fully closed, and the interior sunshade was fully open. There was an extremely loud, gunshot-like explosion without any preceding sound of an object striking the vehicle or other warning signs. Most of the front glass panel blew upward and outward, leaving a large opening in the roof. …”

NHTSA complaint #11771212, filed 2026-10

“Rear view camera intermittently failed to display image when truck arrived to dealer from manufacturer in Jun 2025 before purchase. Problem confirmed by dealer. Camera replaced by dealer but problem persisted within weeks of purchase. Rear view camera displayed distorted (inverted/reversed) images, flickered on/off, then finally completely failed again. Images/video of camera failing captured and provided to dealer who was able to reproduce problem but has been unable to fix problem over past 4 months due to a reportedly backordered part (coaxial cable). …”
