“While driving the car - the car's central computer rebooted. When this happens the music stops, all the screens (center console + driver display) go black. I was not using any autopilot functionality during this time. I'm curious what would have happened if I was. It takes about 30 seconds for the driver display to fully recover. I have a video of this in action.”
NHTSA complaint #11375399, filed 2020-11, 427 miles“While driving at highway speeds, my two info screens that provide all feedback to the driver (e.g., speed, warning lights, etc.) go dark. This has happened on multiple occasions and I have documented with Tesla. They acknowledged the issue and said they are working on a fix(?)”
NHTSA complaint #11413437, filed 2021-04, 6,000 miles“The screen has turned off a number of times while driving on the highway. Couldn't see any controls, speed, navigation, camera, etc. Screen was completely turned off. Also the suspension (ball joints) feel loose and make an odd sound.”
NHTSA complaint #11390433, filed 2021-01, 6,000 miles“The instrument cluster does not show a valid speed. Speed is shown as '0' even when vehicles is traveling and even when cruise control or 'auto pilot' is driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11340115, filed 2020-07, 3,100 miles“On at least 3 separate occasions, we parked the vehicle in a lot with no cars or obstructions nearby. We attemped to open the falcon doors to get our baby out and they would not open signalling an 'obstruction'. Then we attempted to override the obstruction and it refused to override. We had to remove our baby out of the front of the vehicle. I've reached out to Tesla for over one month with zero support.”
