“My air bag light randomly lights up and goes away and sometimes it chimes when it pops up and sometimes it doesn't. Here recently, it has decided to stay on. There is no code if it is scanned. I definitely think this should be a recall because if I was to accidentally wreck, I don't know if they would actually work or not as much as the light comes and goes.”
NHTSA complaint #11228259, filed 2019-06, 111,398 miles“Airbag warning light comes on intermittently. It was on when I was at the dealer so the service consultant could check the codes. He suggested there is something wrong inside the front passenger door. I have scheduled an appointment to have him take the door apart and investigate further.”
NHTSA complaint #10905496, filed 2016-09, 78,345 miles“My vehicle has a recall (r09/NHTSA 15v-115) for failure of the tipm resulting in vehicle stalls and non starts which have occurred on multiple occasions since 2013 most recently 12/15/15. My vehicle has stalled in traffic on the highway and interstate at speed in heavy traffic almost causing several accidents. I have taken the vehicle to the local dealer (napoleton) who attempted to fix without resolve. In fact, I brought back after there first attempt and they want to charge me $1600 to repair. …”
NHTSA complaint #10810680, filed 2015-12, 140,000 miles“My air bag light has come on my dash I received a notification about my vehicle and takata recalls my vehicle will not pass inspection due to this light”
NHTSA complaint #11040449, filed 2017-10, 58,000 miles“On aug. 29 2017 my airbag light came on. I took the vehicle to mullane motors in lockport ny, for repair. I was told a side impact air bag sensor had shorted out and needed replacing, and spent $332.57 to have it fixed. When I arrived to pick up my Jeep, I was told that the same sensor was still 'shorting out' and that standard operating procedure was to replace the occupant restraint control module. I asked when that could be completed and was told that the 'part is unavailable,' in any way shape or form, and that it was unknown when or if at all this part would ever be available. …”
