“The car make an awful sound when driving . Once the speed is over 30 miles per hour the windshield cowl make a very loud noise it has been doing it for a long time I just couldn't figure out what it was until I took it to a dealer and they said that it was common problem with these vehicles. It has just been getting worst over the years.”

NHTSA complaint #11299482, filed 2020-01, 500 miles

“Our Jeep Grand Cherokee was sitting in our closed garage for several hours. When we went into our garage we noticed the rear window had exploded out and there was glass everywhere. The window is shattered everywhere even on the edges. It spontaneously exploded on its own. No one was driving or in it at the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11153126, filed 2018-11, 77,000 miles

“My vehicle is experiencing the exact problem addressed in NHTSA reference #14v636000. I was not notified of this recall because my vehicle was manufactured in 07/13 which is outside of the recall period. I believe that my vehicle should be included in this recall. It comes on suddenly and is dangerous to drive.”

NHTSA complaint #10947388, filed 2017-01, 59,000 miles

“My cars windshield wipers suddenly turned on and would not turn off. Even after turning the car off and turning it back on they would still not turn off. I took it into the dealership I bought it from and they told me that the switch and motor would need to be replaced. I know this has been an issue with several other owners of this vehicle as I have researched it extensively. There have been several electrical problems with the car and I believe this is another issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11245325, filed 2019-08, 70,000 miles

“The sunroof on my less than 1 month old 2014 Grand Cherokee exploded while going down the interstate with no other cars around and no overpasses above me. It just shattered into a thousand pieces. It sounded like a shotgun blast. Chrysler doesn't seem to think they're responsible for replacing it.”
